Return Policy

As a Gates Corporation dealer, we are obligated to follow the Gates Corporation’s return policy which is as follows:

Customer Request Returns of Standard and Standard, Non-Stocked Product All returns must be made within 60 days from the date of invoice. Customer must request return from a customer service representative. The returned items must have been ordered on a single purchase order and must total at least $75. A $60 restocking fee will be charged on all customer requested returns. Customer service will provide a return material authorization (RMA) number, including information as to where to return the product, via fax or e-mail within 5 working days. A copy of the RMA paperwork must be inside the box. Customer will pre-pay freight charges back to the location specified on the RMA form. Credit will be issued within thirty (30) days of receipt of items and appropriate paperwork. No cash refunds are allowed.

Customer Request Returns of Made to Order Product Made to order product is not returnable.

Semi-Annual Returns of Standard and Standard, Non-Stocked Product Customer can return products two (2) times a year under this semi-annual return and replacement policy. Only standard and standard, non-stocked product can be returned. Returned product must be in resalable condition as determined by Gates in its discretion. A 5% restocking fee will be charged on all semi-annual returns. A list of items, including quantity and purchase price, must be sent to the customer service representative. A new offsetting order of equal or greater value of the returned items must accompany the return request. No cash refunds will be provided. Customer service will provide a return material authorization (RMA) number, including information as to where to return the product, via fax or e-mail within 5 working days. A copy of the RMA paperwork must accompany the returned product. Customer will be responsible for all shipping expense and will pre-pay freight charges back to the location specified on the RMA form. Credit will be issued within thirty (30) days of receipt of items and appropriate paperwork.

Quality Returns Gates warrants that its products will conform to our specifications and be free of defects in workmanship and material. All other warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed. All warranty issues must be reported to customer service. Customer service will complete a return form and provide it to the customer via fax or e-mail within 5 working days. This paperwork must be inside the box when the customer sends the product back to the location specified on the form using the Gates freight collect number. A credit will be issued within ten (10) business days of receipt of the item(s) and appropriate paperwork. Quality reports will be provided upon request. If the Gates quality team determines in its reasonable discretion that the problem is due to customer or third party misuse, abuse or mishandling the customer will be so notified within thirty (30) days after such determination is made and the product will be returned to the customer and the customer will be re-invoiced.

Credit/Return based on Gates Error Contact customer service for immediate resolution on errors, including order entry discrepancy, shipping discrepancy (overage or shortage) and/or packaging discrepancy (such as product doesn’t match box label).
